Member Terms & Conditions

All persons resident in Europe over the age of 18 years shall be members of The Samaj by virtue of their birth or marriage within the Sattavis Gam Patidar and they expressly or implicitly undertake to abide by this Constitution and such other persons accepted from time to time by the Executive Committee to be members.

The Executive Committee shall have an unfettered discretion to remove and exclude any member if it has evidence that any direct or indirect conduct act or omission of the member is or would be detrimental to the interests of The Samaj provided that such member shall have an opportunity to defend himself at a meeting of the General Council.

Subscriptions imposed by the General Council shall be payable as directed by the Executive Committee from time to time
The Rights Of Members
Each member:-

Shall have the right to speak at any General Council Meeting on all matters on the agenda unless the chairman has good reason to deny such right
shall be eligible to be elected as Trustee Delegate and/or Executive Committee member except that a member who is a Local Councillor or a Member of Parliament is not eligible to be elected as an Office Bearer
shall have the right to vote at any Annual or Extraordinary General Meeting except where any member is in arrears of any subscription (whenever due) at any time during the ninety days immediately preceding any Annual or Extraordinary General Meeting
Denial Of Members' Voting Rights.
Any member who causes directly or indirectly by his conduct acts or omissions harm to the interests of The Samaj may be denied voting rights by the Executive Committee passing a resolution with a majority of at least three-quarte rs and at which the offending member shall be given an opportunity of defending himself.
